Xbox 360 Mod Chips Available
At least in a few weeks… maybe. The “hack-proof” Xbox, at least as Microsoft deemed it initialy, will probably be hacked soon. They have admitted that “sooner or later someone will work out how to circumvent security”, but it seems to be sooner than later. “SPOnG is reporting that the first mod-chips for the 360 will be available within a month, allowing the play of “backup” game copies, which, with the recently released software that allows Xbox 360 game data extraction, means that Microsoft might have some piracy on their hands before too long. Though, if it’s any consolation for the boys in Redmond, SPOnG is reporting that ‘Microsoft’s security is the best we’ve seen to date for a disc-system. It it weren’t for the fact that DVD is used, it’s likely that further development wouldn’t have been worth anyone’s time.’”

Well this was written in January, and it’s a few days away from April? That’s well over a month haven’t seen any chips for it yet. Would LOVE to get my hands on one though.

1. Why is it so hard to hack into the chip?
2. If SPoNG found a way to hack into the 360, do you know a place on the net where I could buy it? If not on the net, then somewhere in Sydney (around Bondi Junction)
3. Is there a proper name for the chip?
4. Howm many games approximately would you be able to save on the chip?
5. Is it possible to get a chip for PSP?

I’ve bought my 360 2 second day it came out… and now its 29 march 2006 and stil no mod… the 360 playes my burnt dvds and burnt mp3 dvd..so why my a chip for burnt cd’s..
It is now May no chips yet huh. Guess it is later than sooner.
Where is that stupid mod chip at n will u b able 2 turn it off or not 4 online n will it b the same as an xbox for burning the games?let me know

Need to take you 360 apart to do this and u need to flash the chip…
I have the right drive but to scard to try this as yet. Many people have this working and are playing backups on the DVD-DL disks..
If you drive does not have any extra holes in then u have the samsung…
you dont need a mod chip goddamit there is a patch that u rip onto a cd for splintercell and splintercell only you do tha same process as befor u insert the cd with the files on save em to ur hard drive then u insert splintercell providing u havethe right files you load up the linux save and proceed to the dashboard selection screen do not i repeat do not use Unleashed dash as it is 100 % guarenteed to wipe microsoft from ur 360 used evox although evox cannot rip games to your HD it is capeable of modding halo just like before but unless u know wat ur doing here dont attempt it my brother messed his x360 up doing this ( u need at more brains than a slug to execute this )

Cos the xbox360 console & games are a rich man’s toys. And if i were rich i don’t th9ink i would have time to waste on a console, rather play the real world game with my cash….

im not sayin its perfect yet, but i know a guy thats workin on a mod. he has had playd games on his xbox from a reg blank dvd. no other bullshit, mod chips are comin.

Okay I have in issue with this too… I’ve heard you need a moded xbox, but yet again i hear you don’t need a moded xbox.. These are the games that I would LOVE to download.. Rainbow Six Vegas 2, GTA IV, and last but not least Madden ‘08 or something. And i wanna ask you another question.. I have a Xbox wireless adapter, do you guys think i can connect a usb to my xbox to my computer? so like i can have easy access to download my xbox 360 games to my 360, or i have a file that connects to my 360, because my xbox 360 ATM is connected to the same internet as this computer(That i am useing) And there is a file that i can access the 360 which ofc i need the code to my 360… Is there any way i can transport files to my xbox 360 and it will download then go to dashboard and look at “My Games”?
