Official Oblivion Patch for Xbox 360, PC Versions
1up reports that Bethesda will be releasing Oblivion’s first official patch for both the PC and the Xbox 360 versions of the game. Joystiq elaborates, stating that “PC users will get the patch via normal outlets, while Xbox 360 owners will get their patch via Xbox Live and other, unspecficied means (chief of PR Peter Hines mentioned looking into bundling the update with the Official Xbox Magazine).” This is the sure-fire way to remedy the many minor (and a few major) glitches with Oblivion.

I just updated my copy of Oblivion thru XBOX Live and much to my dismay, all of my previous save games have vanished!!! (Level 31 Redguard with a but load of cool stuff!!). Is there any way to recover my previous save games?

r u sure u didnt create a new gamertag?
Try going into your memory and copying the saved files to the new gamertag u created i also downloaded the update but was unsure if i got the patch because i have a lvl 39 character that has botched fighters guild mission (harluns Watch)
And i want to know why the “patch” hasnt changed this as it is said that it does on numerous sites
Ya but what you don’t know is that hideing in that patch is a correction for all glitches and cheats. So if you are a cheater (i am) dont download it!
for xbox version game I had a level 59 Breton after I mastered armor and alteration (because they are the easiest to level up) i went up to a guard and punched him once then got sent to jail sleep for the time and when I get out it would say that I had lost a point in a skill and it randomly picks though at lest 5 skills if you only hit the guard once or the best is to paralyze him and wait for them to come and arrest me make sure that at least one of these skills are in the major skills. make sure you save it first before you punch, paralyze the guard so you can reload it. if it doesn’t take from the two that I have listed. it takes time but is worth it.
Guys i might not have oblivion yet but ive looked on many sites about the june patch and ive found out with xbox live updates your 360 with the new fixes of oblivion ive found out how to reverse the fixes so that you can still mod again. heres a short tutorial of how i did it on the 360:
Systems tab > memory
Press Y on hard drive >
Then on that screen press X,X,LB,RB,X,X. >
then it will come up with maitain storage device >
YES >
I got the patch for oblivion on 360 and now i have the three rings of doom, and i got my xbox november ‘07
so if you download the extra content like shivering isles you wont be able to use cheats and even if you erase the downloadable content from your 360s hard drive will you be able to start over and be able to use cheats?
i was playing the oblivion game and downloaded the extra content and i wont let the copy stuff code work with the bow and arrow should i try the hard drive x2 lb2 x2 to clear cache? or can i just erase the dowmloadable content from my memory? can anyone help?
i removed a patch to dupe things and i was trying to do the cheydinhal recommendation and the guy in the well disappeared because the patch i removed fixed it and i need to get the patch back how do i add it?
i’ve just started the initiation into the thieves guild quest and when i go to the guy’s house for his diary it’s not in his desk but neither of the other thieves have it and don’t go into the house to get it!!!

Dude, its in the cellar of he guys house through a trap door though you have to get through a high stregth lock..
how can i get one now because i can not complete the main quest

my player for the xbox 360 has been permanantly poisoned and i can find a way to heal it. i got poisoned by a chokeberry and the duration has already reached 0 but the poison effect won't stop. the effect timer is at 0 but i'm still taking damage. i tried casting heal poison spells and using potions but nothing works. will this patch help me?!?!?!!?
Just to clear up a little misunderstanding I read about earlier…you CAN still dupe stuff with the Shivering Isles Update, you just use Scrolls instead of arrows…granted it takes a bit longer unless you dupe scrolls first…So for those that don’t know…to Dupe an item first press the attack button, go to inventory before the attack finishes, go to a scroll that you have more than one of, double select it, then go find the item you want duped and drop it, exit inventory and BAM…
If anyone still reads this, would you please email me a list of all the available updates for Oblivion on the 360, b/c ALL I’ve added to mine, is the Shivering Isles…Thanks…
dude, I can’t download the patch, and I can’t download shivering isles in my xbox… who know of any other methods to have the new content in my xbox?

Mine can’t download the patch as well, and I have NPCs that are supposed to be trainers but when I talk to them it won’t show. Real problematic.
I can’t download the patch from Xbox Live either!! Is the patch no longer available or something? I can’t play most of the DLC without the patch…
