Comments on: Half Life 2 Problems

i am using steam and when i launch the game it goes to full screen then gives me an error “cannot read” then it goes back to my desktop and says “click okay to terminate” HELP!!!!!!

halp. when i run half life 2 and click the start game then a diolog box appear PLZ INSERT THE CD IN CD ROM but the cd is in the cd rom

OK so when i get past the part in the very beggining when you first see barney and he gets you to go see kliener i go out the window and into the door it starts looding and then after it randomly restarts this also happens when i try to save ??? it doesnt make any scence please PLEASE help i paid good money for my orange box and now i cant even play it

that happened with me once but to solve it you have to install either directx9.0 or buy windows 7 which is the new windows operating system

I have the same invisible things problem… I tried changing the dxlevel(mat_dxlevel 90) but nothing happened!
I also tried changed the filename from “(object).dx90.vtx” to “(object).dx81.vtx” (since “(object).dx80.vtx” are already in the directory) but nothing happend either! my problem is still not solved!
Please help……
