That’s right.  Electronic Gaming Monthly has confirmed that Valve’s upcoming PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the Half Life 2 bundle have been renamed Half Life 2: Orange!  Joystiq quips: “Valve has come up with an entire world of alien life forms, postmodern physics and government conspiracies and the best title they could come up with is a color? We guess it’s better than Half-Life 2: Head Crab-tacular Edition.”  HL2:O will include the original Half Life 2 game, along with Episodes One and Two, Portal, and Team Fortress.

All of you Halo freaks feel welcome to disembody me via the internet for saying this, but playing an FPS on a game console is just not the same as being able to utilize a keyboard and mouse (yes, I know about the XFPS and other keyboard/mouse technology for consoles, but still, try and understand my ethos here…). There’s just something empowering about a keyboard setup as opposed to trying to get around and blow dudes up with a dinky controller.

Don’t get me wrong, HL2 is awesome, as are pretty much all source-based games made nowadays, but I think a bit of the awesomeness lies in the versatility of the keys/mouse input (ie it’s easier for me to get around, kill guys, and get away, I guess).

But thats just my 2 cents.

    /end off-course rant.
