Free GotW: Alien Arena
That’s right, Alien Arena is this sites pick for the Free Game of the Week. Why, you ask? Because it’s a 100% free, Multiplayer First-Person-Shooter for the PC that has beautiful graphics powered by the open-source Quake 3 engine. This game has been around for a while, but it has finally gotten a well-needed refurb. The new version, featuring 25 levels, 5 mutators, 9 playable characters, 8 weapons, 3 alternate fire modes, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Assault, and Death Ball, is well worth the 151 MB download.

Yeah its good, good graphics gamplay even better because its 100% free and a mulyiplayer game…just 1 thing…WHY DO WE NEED TO DOWNLOAD IT???! LOOK FOR HEAVENS SAKE YES WE ALL LOVE IT! BUT… what if like me you have a really slow computer so that your stuck with simple online games! So I dare any one of you free online multiplayer game designers to make a game that you DO NOT! Need to download…but still with fairly good graphics, multiplayer , online, free and most importantly NO DOWNLOADS REQUIERED!!!
I 100% agree I was atuallay searching for one at the moment!
OMG this game is AWESOME
I want a online multiplayer 3d game that will work for slow comps. That would be the best!!!!!!!!!!!
hmmn… If you want good games you’ll either have to get a better PC or lower your expectations.
Although you can probably download Red Faction from somewhere if you don’t already have it. Made in 2000-2001 and many people still play the multi.
Go here for a demo: http://www.levels4you.com and maps and mods 4 it.
It ran nicely on a test PC with 64MB SDRAM, 16MB nVidia graphics card and P2 400MHz processor.
But if you want the newer games you have to get a better PC…
Although I don’t know what you’d call a “slow” computer.
I’ve got a 128MB ATI Sapphire Radeon 9250, 2.67GHz Processor, and 512MB DDR400 RAM…
have you ever tried ijji games?! They have there game running of the internet…like Soldier Front…for you game designers that don’t know! This is a great way to get around the big downloading part!
Wonderful computer game.
