F.E.A.R. vs Quake 4
This has been no small week in computer gaming. With the releases of the two PC FPS games F.E.A.R and Quake 4, the critics at IGN, Yahoo, Gamespot, and others are scrambling. The review boards have released reviews on both:
F.E.A.R. (Metacritic: 91/100) – reviews (read: Computer & Video Games, Games Radar UK, IGN, Gamespot, Yahoo! Games)

Quake 4 (Metacritic: 81/100) – reviews (read: IGN)

While F.E.A.R. obviously carries a more positive impression among the community of critics, Quake 4 may get more flattering reviews to compensate for its relatively low scores after it is released to the public. The reason for the warm welcome of F.E.A.R. is that it is innovative enough to steer its users clear of the mundane design and plot that critics claim plagues Quake 4. The reviews are stacked for F.E.A.R., but which one excites you more? Will you buy either? Or both? One before the other? Speak your peace.
