PS3 Could Feature Downloadable PSone, PS2 Games

According to GamesIndustry.biz, Sony is thinking about enabling their PS3 with a digital distribution service that will allow users to download PSone and PS2 titles on their PS3, a move that would rival Nintendo’s downloadable back-catalogue plans for the Revolution. “Unnamed sources claim that Sony has been discussing the technical requirements needed to provide this service, and in turn, investigating the possibility of remastering select PS2 games so that latter parts of a game can be streamed over a network while earlier segments are being played. It comes as little surprise that Sony is interested in jumping on the digital distribution bandwagon, but the company will have to overcome some hurdles if the effort is to come to fruition.”
Bluetooth Playstation Controller for Axim PDA
Engadget reports that Aximsite “rookie” kryten007, “who wanted a Bluetooth controller for his PDA but was unhappy with the fit of the only commercial model available, the GamePad”, has modded a $3 hollowed-out Playstation controller using the guts of the GamePad. Then he managed to attach the modded controller to his Axim x50 PDA by using altered, spring-loaded mechanical pencils. How cool!

BloodRayne, developed by Terminal Reality, is a franchise of two horror-themed third-person action video games (with at least a third on the way), a movie and a series of self-contained comic books. The mainstream appeal of its unique blend of action, horror and sex has allowed it to transcend the video game genre and enter other forms of media, like several other video game franchises such as Resident Evil and Tomb Raider.
Latest PS2 lacks backwards compatibility
A new day is dawning in Japan. The day of the newest PS2, the Satin Silver Edition, which is a model that lacks full backwards compatibility with seven PS2 games and almost 40 PS1 games. Talk about anticlimatic. The Silver model is expected to go on sale in Japan on 11/23, which is approximately two-weeks before the Xbox 360 debuts there. With such compatibility issues, what can be expected of the PS3?
