Throughout history, many unusual events have occured on Black Friday:

Because profits are denoted in accounting by Black, and deficits by Red, it follows that this day be called Black Friday. With all this having been said, expect to see many different sales ads, like Best Buy, CompUSA, Sears, Target, JCPenney, Walmart, etc., for Black Friday 2007.

Free Oblivion Content Available on Xbox Live Marketplace
Bethesda recently developed some add-on content for their huge Xbox 360 RPG, Oblivion, and have put it up on the Xbox Live Marketplace for free under the name “Mehrunes Razor.” Mehrunes Razor used to cost 250 pts, but because of the festive spirits of Bethesda, Oblivion owners can obtain this expansion for free.
