Best Buy to have tiny Xbox 360 supply
According to one of Kotaku’s tipsters, “Best Buys are only expecting to get 20 to 50 Xbox 360s each”. Furthermore, the new Xbox 360 in-store kiosks are arriving today, and should be fully-installed nationwide by Nov. 14. The kiosks will feature 23-inch Samsung widescreen HDTVs and employees at BB are being told to promote the new system to shoppers. Because of this incredibly small supply that Microsoft is shipping to retailers, it’s quite possible that the frenzied demand for Xbox 360s remain up through the Holidays.

I dont care about Xbox at all, but if microsoft is going to be an *** about it, I will buy something else for my kid.
I dont want a bunch of bs, I just want to get my kid what he wants for Christmas.
Hear, hear! I’m with you!
Well…. that’s a monopoly for you. It’s their system to distribute, clearly it’s heading in the same direction in which the original Xbox was heading, there clearly aren’t enough system being distributed. It’s just common economics…. Supply vs. Demand… Microsoft has the supply, they are just refusing to meet the demand. It’s pathetic really, but whatcha gonna do?
yea, they shoud’ve shipped plenty more xbox 360’s and their sales would triple, but theire being *** about it and i might not be able to even get it for christmas.
well it looks like the ******** did it again
Estimates tell us that Microsoft is losing up to $126 dollars per system (this is how the video game industry works). Using a clever marketing technique, they’re obviously creating a shortage to raise hype… more hype means more systems sold and gives the psychological appearance that stores are selling far faster than they can apple. A peer pressure effect kind of comes in and makes people want to buy the system. I know it sounds weird, but ever since that shortage on ‘Furbies,’ this has been a known technique.
Really, since we know they’ve been in production since early September (production video) or possibly even earlier, it doesn’t make sense that they wouldn’t have a full supply by now. Expect shipments in the upcoming weeks to be loaded with Xbox 360s.
I can’t deny it though, I’m EXTREMELY pissed I can’t have one until later on.
Also, avoid any Gamestop store (including Electronic Botiques), they’re all full of **** and are telling people February. Those guys are slippery and are forcing the shortage even more than Microsoft.
yea i just called like every eb game store and gamestop store and they all said februray, and bestbuy is sayin “i dont know” i cant believe MS is being such a *****
YO THIS **** IS SO WACK COSTCO SAID TO BE THERE WHEN DEY OPEN TO GET A SYSTEM BUT THE JACKASSES SOLD A SECRET COUPONS AT MIDNIGHT FOR THE HIGH EMPLOYEES AND SO I WENT TO ALL THE BEST BUYS AND GAME STOPS AND THEY WERE SOLD OUT IF ONLY I DIDNT GET DRAWN INTO COSTCOS WARENTY I COULDHAVE BEEN AT BEST BUY AT MIDNIGHT YO MS IS OFF LINE THEY HAVE A WHOLE WAREHOUSE OF 360 AND THEY THINK HLDIN EM BACK WILL GET THEM MORE SALES THIS WHOLE THING IS REALLY ***
All I can say is that at first launch (Nov22), as well as second launch (Dec18) I lined up all night in the cold and still didn’t get one. I’m really upset with the US shortage. In Japan, there is a surplus…what is up with that?
