Uwe Boll To Direct Dungeon Siege Adaptation

Posted in Adaptations, Microsoft, Movies, Previews by ubersoldat on October 31st, 2005.

It’s official. Uwe Boll is directing a two-part adaption of the popular video-game Dungeon Siege. “In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale” is said to be a roughly 4 1/2 hour epic. Uwe Boll, to pander to “the exhibitors who can’t accept a movie so long,” has decided to cleave the entire ordeal into two parts. Part One is to be released November 3rd of 2006, with the denouement hitting theaters on December 1st.

The film’s diverse cast includes Ray Liotta, Leelee Sobieski, Burt Reynolds, Ron Perlman, Claire Forlani, Matthew Lillard, John Rhys-Davies, Kristanna Loken, Will Sanderson, Brian J. White, and German supermodel Eva Padberg.

Will Uwe Boll butcher another film, or do you expect this to be a hit? What are your predictions?

Half Life Steam SLOW

I am getting ~500KB/s on a connection that regularily sustains 1.2 MB/s. What gives, Valve? Don’t have a great online content distribution network, or what?
